As we enter a new year, we're really excited to see more people using and enjoying Microsoft Copilot in their daily lives and work. Our goal is to help every person and organization on Earth achieve more by making Copilot, our everyday AI companion, available to millions worldwide. We've hit a big milestone with over 5 billion chats and 5 billion images so far. As Copilot continues to gain popularity, we're getting valuable feedback on how to make it even better. Two things stand out: First, there's a group of dedicated Copilot users – creators, researchers, programmers, and others – who want quicker access to our latest features. Second, our Microsoft 365 customers want to use Copilot in their personal Microsoft 365 apps.
To meet these needs, we're thrilled to announce more options for power users, creators, and anyone looking to take their Copilot experience up a notch. We're introducing Copilot Pro, a new premium subscription for individuals that offers advanced AI capabilities. Copilot Pro brings Copilot features to Microsoft 365 Personal and Family subscribers and adds new capabilities, like the ability to create Copilot GPTs. We're also making our Copilot app available for iOS and Android phones. Lastly, we're expanding Copilot for Microsoft 365 to more commercial customers, including small- and medium-sized businesses, starting today.
Let's dive into Copilot Pro: It's designed to supercharge your creativity and productivity. With Copilot Pro, you get a single AI experience across your devices – on the web, PC, apps, and soon on your phone – understanding your context and bringing the right skills to you when needed. Subscribers also get access to Copilot in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneNote on various devices. Copilot Pro offers priority access to the latest models, starting today with OpenAI’s GPT-4 Turbo, for faster performance during peak times. Soon, users will be able to toggle between models for a personalized experience. Enhanced AI image creation with Image Creator from Designer is also part of the package, ensuring faster performance and improved image quality.
You can subscribe to Copilot Pro today for $20 per month per user.
Now, let's talk about Copilot for Microsoft 365, which is our best experience for organizations. It became available for enterprises in November, and now we're excited to open it up to businesses of all sizes – no seat minimum required. Copilot for Microsoft 365 works across your entire work data, including emails, meetings, chats, documents, and more, plus the web. It's integrated into popular apps like Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, helping you work in new ways with an AI-powered copilot at your side.
Here are some updates:
Copilot for Microsoft 365 is now generally available for small businesses with Microsoft 365 Business Premium and Business Standard. You can get between one and 299 seats for $30 per person per month. The 300-seat purchase minimum for commercial plans is removed, making Copilot available for Office 365 E3 and E5 customers without the need for a Microsoft 365 license. Commercial customers can now purchase Copilot for Microsoft 365 through our network of Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider partners. Last month, we also made Copilot for Microsoft 365 eligible for education faculty and staff.
Copilot for Microsoft 365 is even more powerful because it works across your entire universe of work data, providing natural language prompts for tasks like updating product strategy. It's integrated into daily apps like Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, offering a range of functionalities from jump-starting creativity to analyzing data and triaging inboxes.
As we expand Copilot to more people, we're offering a great free experience for those interested in exploring how Copilot can enhance productivity and creativity using AI. Today, we're excited to introduce Copilot GPTs – allowing you to customize how Microsoft Copilot behaves on topics that interest you. A few Copilot GPTs are rolling out today, covering areas like fitness, travel, cooking, and more. Soon, Copilot Pro users can create their own Copilot GPTs using Copilot GPT Builder.
Also, the Copilot mobile app is now available for Android and iOS, giving you the power of Copilot on the go. It includes the same capabilities as on your PC, allowing your Copilot queries and chats to roam across your phone and PC. Additionally, Copilot is being added to the Microsoft 365 mobile app for Android and iOS for individuals with a Microsoft account, rolling out over the next month. This lets you access Copilot right inside the app and easily export your content to Word or PDF.
With these updates, we're making Copilot accessible to more users, offering diverse options for everyone. Whether you're starting with Copilot for free, ramping up with Copilot Pro, or a business looking to boost productivity with Copilot for Microsoft 365, there's a Copilot experience for all.
